Well his current design..............I haven't made his Anthro form yet (Not Mobian form)...
You know on how SA2B Amy is ALWAYS following Sonic, Tails, & Knuckles? Well, just suppose you're Amy, Jacob is Sonic, I'm Tails, and Elec's Knux. So, kinda, only usable in multiplayer...?

Well, just say, you just STARTED a new game, and Jacob doesn't know HOW to morph yet. He learns it when he encounters Zorua.
Awesome! BTW Yakobu's not a Mobian technically, he's a mix of Light Wolf and Firefox, the "Light Wolves" are a subspecies of "Special Urufu" they adapt to what choices they make or what they do... And can shapeshift into beings they have seen or encountered before.
